What is obesity?




Eat more than what ur body needs and the chances are you will become overweight.The problem ,called obesity,is common among children.





Causes when a person consumes more calories than the body burns up.

Obesity,once gained,is very difficult to overcome.It is therefore important to prevent the problem from happening in the first plce.Parents can play an important rolein preventing obesity in teir children. Here are some tips for parents.











Offer your child a healthy
diet.Askyour doctor about the right foods

for your child.








Your child needs
lots of fiber from fruits and
vegetables.


Put a limit on eating at fast food
restaurants.






Do not force your child to eat when he is not hungry.It is all right
if he does not finished all the food offered to him.

Do not use food to comfort or reward the child.





Limit the time your child spends watching television.instead,try to get
him to do something active,like cycling or playing an outdoor game.
You could take your child for a brisk walk or a jog.






Encourage your child to participate in
school or community sports.



Teach your child good eating and
exercise habits.




4.Children who are obese face a higher risk of having health problems
such as breathing difficulity and inability to sleep soundly.
